Little Bird
Gentle quiet- a feather in the wind, a little
bird lost without the flock it was born in.
Golden child the world waited for, over
Whelmed by all that was asked for.
Now the temples are empty forever more.
The moss comes to fill in the space the
Murals of the histories take on a dusty face.
The breeze untouched by skillful hands
Moves in empty halls. No more sky blue-
Arrows- no more little birds-- save one.
One last little bird to take on a firestorm.
So young some much life to give. Say not
The fire will burn your precious wings.
Come home again with some one new-
A nest of earth, water, and fire to see you-
Through. Fly again faith renewed, hope soars
In you.
